Better then most
I have discus and need an accurate heater. So far the controller works just about like the specification states. "Precision +/- 1.8 F";. I have to set the controller for 84F to get 82F.It displays 83.9F but all other thermometers read that I have read 82F. Either the Controller is off or my other three are off. Takes a little to get use to. It then drops to 83.2F before the heater comes on. The heater element seems to be made of very high quality. It really doesn't take long for the aquarium to heat up once the controller turns on.
