I've had a G3 since 2007 and it has performed flawlessly in my 200 gallon reef system.
Perhaps the best feature with the G3 is that it offers tremendous flexibilityfor enhancements. In 2010, I did the gate, mesh, and recirc mods. They were simple modifications that have really cranked up the amount and quality of the skimmate produced. You could spend more for a skimmer, but why would you? The G series from ASM are serious equipment for reefers.

Hi! I just got ASM G3 protein skimmer from Mike. He is really nice guy and I so happy with that skimmer. Really easy to setup and easy to use. I just set it up last night and they skimmate right away. Thanks so much Mike. And he knows everything in the store, if you guys have any question please ask for Mike. Thanks again Mike.

I have had this running on my 180 for three days. It has pulled half a cup of dry skimmate from a tank full of fresh salt water just after my big move. I upgraded from a 120 to a 180.
