This is by far the best quality pump for the money on the market. Very little noise. You must put a ball valve on the return as this pump is soooo powerful. Power consumption is among the most efficient of pumps. I have already bought the smaller 20 hd for a different tank and I'm just as happy with that one.

We have a 10 year old 400 gallon salt water tank. Our original Blueline 70 HD pump blew out in an electrical storm so I thought...ordered the new pump then removed the old one was able to get it started again with new capacitor however still put the new one on because it ran smoother and quieter. In short our 10 old Blueline 70 HD pump still works and is now here for back up our brand new one...you know maybe 15 20 years from now. ;) Dont believe you can buy a more reliable pump! The guy I spoke with at AquaCave was great too; knows his stuff and was very helpful.
