This is definitely a great powerhead for the price. The magnetic mount has a very strong hold and keeps it in place. I have the powerhead in my 55-gallon salt water aquarium and it provides more than enough water flow. Price + Power = Satisfied Aquairum!

As others have noted, it does have a very short cord. The flow is really strong for how little the pump costs. DO NOT try on a wavemaker, however. I had my APEX controlling it for a few days with no problems, but one day I heard a deafening sound coming from my tank on the main floor all the way on the opposite side of the house in my basement. Turns out its prone to starting up spinning in the wrong direction if you have it constantly turning on and off with a wavemaker. Seems to work perfectly now that I have it on constantly, though.

This inexpensive powerhead is an amazing additive for the water flow inside my 75 Gal Reef aquarium. Even know it is considered a cheaper powerhead, it definitely meets my expectations for a professional brand. I have my aquarium inside my bedroom so silence is the key!! This powerhead moves ton of water without creating much noise at all. In fact, I think it might even be more quiet than my Korallia3... If I ever need another powerhead, its going to be a Coralvue.

I bought two of these pumps from here. When I opened the package I noticed two pumps that looked the same but were different.
1 pump had a ground prong (a must) and the other did not.
2 the other thing I noticed was the propeller shaft was a different color on the pump with the ground prong.
also the housing that holds the magnet was cracked. I Emailed coral vue and they responded and shipped the part I needed the next day. Great customer service.
while speaking with them I asked about the difference in the pumps and I was tole the pump with the ground plug had an upgraded propeller shaft to prevent chatter when they start up and stop so they can be used with wave makers with out issue. I also explained to them they needed to add several feet of cord to the pump and the person I spoke with stated they would bring it up.
these have been operating in my tank for several months and really make a great difference in the flow of water in the tank I want to get two more for the tank.

I have this in my 55gal SPS tank along with my K3 and K4. Its working pretty nice the fish like it and the corals love the extra flow. One nice thing was it came with air tubing on the propeller so you don't hear the annoying ticking like the stock koralias when the power turns on. The only cons are, no rubber padding on the magnets, so it scratches the tank pretty easily... and the cord is only like 4ft long and it has a ground prong so i had to use a heavy duty extension cord to reach the extra foot...
