Automatic air flow regulation, needs no adjustments. This is one great feature that is not apparent until a skimmer has been owned a while.
All skimmers using air flow adjustments, beckett and spray injection types come to mind, are subject to a constantly changing air flow adjustment. They do not hold a setting due to salt "creep" buildup in their air intake.

Extremely good gas exchange (high oxygen content in the tanks water) along with powerful but gentle skimming action that's plankton friendly.

For tanks from 180-400 gallons. Recently tested on 2000 gallon culture system, where it provided water clarity that allowed a four fold increase the light penetration due to the systems water clarity.

Strong, commercial duty construction from oversized cell cast acrylic and a beautiful no edge finish on all parts (never a sharp edge), makes it a joy to clean and work with.

All acrylic parts are joined in our two step process, first all seams are solvent welded and then separately sealed to prevent salt creep. C&C cut keyholes provide a precision fit on all flanges. O ring seals used throughout.

Setup to remote drain into an external waste container. Our Compact Auto-Waste Container (optional) provides a skimmer shutdown feature when filled and also comes with a high-air-flow carbon air filter to remove all odor.

Recent improvements incorporated into the ETSS 800 professional:
- Low turbulence sump box design.
- Allows the skimmer to pull more waste from the aquarium than before.
- High performance water injection manifold design with universal fit. Can be used with the pump either to the right or left of the skimmer. Allows for a much higher flow rate (better performance) from the same pump.
- These improvements allowed us to now also recommend the 40 RT Iwaki pump and all others with similar rating as also suitable for the ETSS 800 professional skimmer model
