This is the second timer that I bought for my delicate oriental plants--a bonsai and bamboo plant. They both require at least 6 hours of sunshine, which I do not get due to my heavily wooded lot. I bought this timer because it had at least one polarized plug receptacle, which my other timers did not have. (The plug to my tabletop plant light is polarized.) Ive had my first timer about 6 months now, and its still going strong, but the only problem was I lost the instructions on how to reset the time because of daylight savings time, so I bought another one! The programming is a little complicated (one drawback to this timer), but it works great, my plants are thriving, and its relatively cheap, so what the heck! Now I have a backup!

This timer works very well. It allows you to set different on/off times on all seven days of the week. It is built for heavy duty use and has duel plug-ins. Excellent quality product. (Updated on 11/22/2008.)
