Eheim are at the top of the business with many of there products, and this is no exception. Very easy to place on tank, easy to program, having the option to feed up to 4 times a day ,and to have the drum roll twice at each feeding if needed with a minute delay. I used this while i was on vacation for a week with no problems at all. Since then, I keep it on my tank at all times with 1 feeding via this, and 1 manual feeding of frozen food in evening. Pair this up with the square floating feeding station and its a no brained. I haven't had to put tape over the opening like some have said, I have it open to the second smallest opening which seems to be perfect. The fish always hang around the feeder at feeding time, they have learn quickly. One odd thing, a house spider seems to also like the fish food, had one living inside the feeder air inlet till I got it out, was wondering why I had spider webs on my light fitting !!

I use this feeder to keep a consistent flow of food flowing to my young cichlids, which I raise for sale. It is a very good feeder, sold at a very reasonable price. It has never failed me. I only have a MINOR complaint: This feeder uses a 24-hour clock, (military time), rather than an a.m./p.m. system, which I would prefer. Other than that, it is a flawless unit.

After buying cheap autofeeders in the past and having them not last very long I was reluctant at first on buying this feeder due to its inexpensive price. I am very pleased with the quality and easy to program features of this feeder. It has worked very well for me since I installed it and is a very simple design. I use .5 mm pellets in at and can get it dialed down to feed only 20 to 25 pellets at a time.
Great item at a great price.
