The Macro-algae used in the refugium will utilize nitrates and phosphates from your water column. These algae’s uses these nutrients to grow and thrive.

The sump is great, works like a charm. I use the sump on my 195 gallon reef tank. At a great price.

This is a great item, instant improvements to water clarity and quality. includes all needed attachments to connect to an overflow style aquarium. the only issue was that Eshopps changed/ improved their design apparently, as this was listed at 12 inches, it is actually 14 inches wide, verified to be correct on their (eshopps) website. definitely recommend this item!
