I got about 3 years from my last set of tubes on a large tank setup. I recommend using a set of two and checking them every couple of months, that way if one fails then you are still good with the other. I consider these type heaters a major improvement over any heater with sensor and heating element in one tube. I like useing the Ranco ETC digital sensor unit with these, very industrial tough.The Finnex digital has also done well.

Works like the extremely higher priced heaters.
Really glad I bought it. Happy with AquaCave too. Everything just like they promised

This is the best heater Ive ever used... I combined the heater with the JBJ digital controller and it keeps my 150 gal reef tank within a half degree of my setting. I highly recommend this heater to everyone.
