Description 


KALKWASSER MIX provides bio-available calcium for lush growth of purple, pink and green calcareous algaes, snails, hard tube worms and clams.
Corals will open more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use. Phosphate & nitrate free!
Contains no gluconates, EDTA, or other organics to raise DOC levels, as many competing products do. This product is the original European Method that has never been equaled for calcium addition to a Reef System! It will provide long term results that no other supplement will!
It requires a little more work, but so does anything that is really worthwhile!
KALKWASSER MIX can be used with Kent Marine Concentrated Liquid Calcium or TURBO CALCIUM for maximum results.
Strontium addition via use of Kent Marine Strontium & Molybdenum Supplement or TURBO STRONTIUM is absolutely necessary, as well.
Use of Coral-Vite, and Essential Elements are beneficial, as well.

Directions:
For best results adjust system KH to 8 to 10 dKH with Superbuffer-dKH or Marine Aquarium pH-Buffer first. Add 1/8 minimum to 2 teaspoons maximum powder per gallon of fresh water for a stock solution.
Use drip method or dosing pump to drip into system on a continual basis to replace all water lost to evaporation.

I have been using the Kent Kalkwasser for about 3 years now. I mix 7 level teaspoons of the product into 5 gallons of RO/DI water. Let stand about 48 hours and use clear liquid in middle of bucket. Not the top skim coat or the bottom residue. I use this for all my top off water. I drip it into my sump using a very small pump. I use nothing else to maintain a stable pH and a stable alkalinity. For me this is the easiest way and least amount of tinkering. This and 10% water changes a week. That's it. One word of caution- avoid breathing in vapors they are irritating from the dry powder. I recommend using a dust mask.
