Ocean Clear 317 Canister Filter

High capacity particulate canister filter for high capacity water pumps from 800-1600 gpm. Three densities of Polystrand media on top of a 100 micron, a medium density in the middle and a tight 50 micron section at the bottom.

Ocean Clear modular filters allow you to mix and match in order to get just the right combination of filtering for you needs. This system works with freshwater or saltwater aquariums or ponds and each unit is rated for aquariums or ponds up to 500 gallons. Multiple units can be hooked together to accommodate any size aquarium or pond.
The 317 uses 177 sq ft of Polystrand filter pads to perform mechanical filtration and comes with 3 different gauges of pad ranging from 100 micron to 50 micron. This is the only media used in the unit.
A 300 psi pressure gauge indicates when unit needs cleaning. Use an external pump with a flow rate of 500-1600 gph.
The manufacturer recommends using a pump at the higher end gph, especially if using more than one unit in tandom. Inlet and outlet size is 3/4".
