Aqua Euro makes good skimmers. The new design has a bubble plate (not shown in this picture here). I have skimmer this myself (paid a lot more for it a lot local fish store - ugggghh) and find it easy to use and effective. After 2 days, it was pulling a lot of dark gunk out of the tank. The body is built well. I have had mine for about a year now and love it!
