I have this unit with an additional sensor unit. I placed both of them at the same place. One reads 75.5 degrees fahrenheit, the other reads 77.6. Contacted the manufacturer and was told each unit has a +/- 1.5 degrees, so between the 2 units I have, a difference is 2.1 degrees is acceptable to the manufacturer. Is this acceptable to you all out there? If it is, I will change the rating back to 5 star.

I set this up on two tanks, my Display and my Frag tank, both sensors are in the basement, cause that's were all the sumps are, and the Display is 1st floor above the sumps, I have the receiver all the way on the other end of the house 1 floor above the sensors so when ever I am coming or going I can see it and monitor the temps, I haven't had any problems picking up the sensors, actually, I pick up 2 additional temps from outdoor sensors for household temperature monitoring.

This is a pretty neat gadget. Especially if you have multiple sensors where you can check various parts of your tank and/or sump with just a push of a button.
