I ordered this product on a Thursday at one oclock pm. I received it the next day, Friday, for a shipping cost of five bucks, you can't beat that. The skimmer itself is amazing I searched weeks before deciding that this is absolutely the best hob skimmer around. When you, the buyer, instal the bh1000 there iS gonna be a ton of micro bubbles. Something isn't gonna seam right but just give it a few weeks and it will break in and Baotou give off any. Also the skimmer intake and output look different than the one in the picture. It's a new updated one, unlike the picture.

If you dont have a drilled tank, this is the way to go. I bought this based on a bunch of recommendations and couldnt be happier. Its quiet and not that hard to set up. The instructions are lousy, but there are good youtube videos out there (and it really isnt THAT hard even without).
Mine was producing gunk within a day and my water is MUCH crisper looking.
The only negative are the microbubbles. You can mitigate these by pointing the return at the glass and then they dont cause much trouble anymore.
The skimmer box on the inlet could also use a redesign. It doesnt come all the way up to the waters surface and I had a clown get sucked in. It was fine, but I rigged up a screen with a piece of fish net and rubber band and that fixed the problem

Purchased the item for a 30 gal. fish tank. We had another brand, 80 gal. skimmer which was touchy, and not that effective. Set up went quickly. It took about two days to completely break in and has worked flawlessly every since, about a month. I researched the product extensively before purchase and the research was well worth the time, the product well worth the money.

Just got my BH1000 Skimmer in the mail today, very well built, very easy setup, and from what i can tell easy maintenance. I have this beast on the back of my 20H reef tank. Aquacave did a good job with fast processing and delivery. Two thumbs up.

I did a ton of research before purchasing a protein skimmer and I kept coming back to this one. For the money, this is a deal! I wish I had gotten a PS years ago. The setup was easy, although the directions weren't the best (thank goodness for youtube and peoples reviews). Within a couple hours my tank was crystal clear. I swear my fish and inhabitants are cruising around with smiles on their faces!
