ReefLux is the first true 10000K full spectrum metal halide bulb to be offered to the aquarium market.
Other manufacturers claim to offer a 10000K lamp but that is just a marketing number of their best attempt to offer a full spectrum 10000K lamp.
This is why they have a yellow or orange appearance and need to have some kind of fluorescent actinics to balance it out.
Generally the more yellow or orange a bulb the more PAR the bulb will produce.
ReefLux offers you the highest PAR rating without having to flood your aquarium with high powered fluorescent blue bulbs.
The ReefLux 12000K has the performance of the 10000K but with a touch of blue added.

I have ran the 12k lamps for over 3yrs. but always ran actinics for that pop, but this lamp is just blue enough to add that pop.

Well I just got this light today and well from what i can say so far so good. came very fast also packed very well. Great color. I have an older retro fit will be upgrading in the future to a slimmer fixture with HQI. I am running 2-250 12K SE along with 2-110 VHO 420-460nm The bulbs alone give great crisp ice white with a good hint of blue If you want that extra hint of blue run with actinics so great bulb will buy nothing but from now on will come back and let know how growth is. Great bulb overall. It has nice coloration, no yellow at all for a 10,000 K. Best part is the growth. I switched to these bulbs last year and the growth has been awesome. I would highly recommend these!
