The Hammerhead is the most powerful pump in its class. This energy efficient pump is ideal for 300-500 gallon aquariums with sump return systems requiring a minimum of 15 feet static head.
This unit is rated for a maximum flow rate of 5800gph, a shut off head of 23 feet and maximum wattage of 350/ 3 amps.
Using a 1/3 horsepower Baldor TEFC Motor manufactured in the USA.

I purchased this pump when I setup my 55G reef 2 years ago, I have probably a total of 80G after refugium and sump, the idea was to buy a pump that I could use when I upgraded tank size in the future and just throttle it back for my 55G. I do not regret spending the money whatsoever, my aquarium is on the first floor, and I run the overflow into the basement where all the filters etc... are located, then back up with the Hammerhead, it has absolutely no problems, I have it throttled back probably about 30%. I would HIGHLY recommend this pump!!
