My friend and I are both setting up 75g RR tanks. We are putting sumps in the cellar and have about 13-14 of head pressure to overcome. He bought the Gen-X PCX-40 pump. Since I had my setup further along than his we setup this pump at my location for testing. The pump had no problem pushing a great deal of water but it was loud even from upstairs. I decided to try the water blaster after hearing good things about it. This pump can put out some serious amount of water and it is very very quite! I am very impress with it so far. I actually had to turn down the pump with a valve even at 13-14 feet of head.... go for it, you wont be dissapointed!

Just bought this pump from the US and had it sent to me in France.
I have a 1000 Ltr reef tank and 150 ltr sump.I have been running an "Ocean Runner OR6500" pump for the last 6 years. I had to run 4x power heads to create more water movement. I fitted my new HY 10,000 pump yesterday. Slightly smaller than the OR6500 and just as silent. Just a low hum.
Loads more power ! I dont need any power heads now. Plenty of flow. The threaded ball valve fittings that I used on the pipework soon began to drip, so they needed quickly tightning up. Very Pleased with this pump. Very robust and well made.
