Questions on Acrylic Aquarium Fish Trap by Precision Marine

  • From CLIFTON PORTER at 8/10/2014 9:05 AM
    • Few questions:
What triggers the door to fall shut? (1) does the fish/critter trigger it, (2) is there a pin that you pull out via attached fishing line or (3) do you just hold it in place with fishing line until something goes in and then let go?

How easy does the door fall shut when under water? I have tried the AquaMedic brand and find that feature faulty.

Does the trap have drain holes?

      I assume it doesn't float?
    • Door is triggered manually with a trip line just like on AquaMedic trap. There are no drain holes in this trap. It will stay submersed as long as there is no air trapped on the inside.

  1. This trap rocks.. Review by Jaymzo

Patience is the key here..honestly, you need to starve your fish out for a few days, then introduce the trap with the only source of food, everyone in your tank including the smart ones will come see what you got. Patience, Patience, Patience, kinda like fly fishing..but it works. (Posted on 6/29/2010)
