    AQUA-FUGE MP Refugium Small by CPR Aquatics.

    **** PRODUCT MANUAL ****

    CPR introduces its newest AquaFuge™, the AquaFuge™ MP. This sump-based refugium is hand-crafted in the USA with the highest quality acrylic.
    The AquaFuge™ MP includes a pre-filter bag to trap detritus before entering the refugium and can be adjusted to accomodate your drain line. An additional pre-filter bag can be added for overflows with two drain lines.
    The addition of a refugium can stabilize your marine ecosystem by providing nutrient export with the growth of macroalgae as well as create an isolation area for new or injured fish. Each size is designed to accommodate a CPR light fixture which fits neatly over the refugium to provide light to the refugium inhabitants.

    NEW FEATURES:
    * Now includes the SIHA in place of the built in sock holder
    * Mounted 1" inlet (PVC8) now included; quieter operation
    * Covered filter sock inlet minimizes splashing and salt creep from overflow
    * Can be completely removed for servicing or for alternative use

    AquaFuge™ MP Small Specifications:

    * Overall Dimensions: 26"L x 10"W x 12"T
    * * Return Pump Chamber (including baffle): 5.5"L x 9.5"W
    * Refugium Chamber: 15.75"L x 9.5"W x 9.75"H
    * Drain Chamber: 4.75"L x 9.5"W

    Deluxe package Includes:

    * AquaFuge™ MP Small
    * Light Fixture 13", 18W
    * Light Fixture Stand

    Questions on AQUA-FUGE MP Refugium Small by CPR Aquatics

    • From Timothy Dillard at 8/16/2014 2:07 PM
      • Regarding the "small" CPR sump/refugium initial overflow stage: due to its small size (about 4.75 X 9 I believe) what good quality internal protein skimmer (thinking of foot print size) would work with this system? Or suggestions for a good quality external skimmer that could be placed next to it?

        Thank you
      • Good external skimmer would be an optimal solution. Skimz SM122 would work great on systems up to 150 gal.

    1. PERFECT Review by Timothy
      Product Rating:

      well almost. i didn't like the bulk head that came installed on the return side (on lateral side of tank); there is limited space for pump and really wish this wasn't in there as i'm running an internal return pump. could have used that space but overall this is exactly what i was looking for. i have a 29g reef and wanted to maximize my sump/refugium to stabilize my tank and do other little nifty tricks and this fit inside just beautifully. looked at many sumps on the marked and non compared with the specs i needed and was very happy with the quality once i received it. also, the refugium (middle section) was very large vs other companies which is a huge bonus because the whole point is to use macro algae and sand and whatever else so that your tank system is stable. more people should get this and review it. i'm not going to use the socks though cause i don't want to change it every few days and want the natural filtration system to clean the detritus. hope this helps, it certainly has given me just about everything i needed and prevented me from having to build a do it youreself model which would have taken extra time and not looked as professional. thanks CPR Aquatics.
