I hook this it on a 55 gallons Fowlr and added cheatomorpha to reduce nitrate. 2 weeks later no trace on nitrate and the water parameter seems to be very stable. Minor fiddling on the PS cup for maximum efficiency. Make sure to balance the weight as to prevent pressure on the glass or acrylic tank. NOTE: the pump included is NOT a maxi-jet1200 but rather a RIO600. IMO, rio600 is less noisy than maxijet1200, and not much noise in the return if PS is on. BTW, make sure not to fill your main tank to the top because the refugium will backflow until it equalize. Hence, test the aquafuge when power are off.
