We calculate and publish our flow rates at 30,000 µw/cm² , based on the end of that 14 month life so there is no need to adjust water flow.

The Aqua Ultraviolet Classic 25 Watt can also be used as a clarifier to remove free floating algae for bodies of water up to 4000 gallons with 50% to 75% plant coverage. I bought this product 2 times. The first was for my 100 gallon salt water tank because I was having clarity problems. Within two days the tank was crystal clear. The second time I purchased this unit it was for my parents fresh water 1800 gallon pond in their back yard. I remember them saying how green their water was so I told them about my ultra violet light and what is did for my aquarium. I purchased this for them and they keep telling me that is was by far the best thing they ever did for the clarity of their pond. It looks crystal clear and you can see 3 1/2 feet down to the bottom all year long. They did have to replace their transformer because of it being outside. We think the rain caused it to short out so I would recommend protecting the transformer from the elements. I would recommend this product 10 out of 10 times. Best thing for any water project.

larger than what i expected, could use some sort of mounting bracket but still clean 250 gal in a few hours. well worth the money even for small systems
