The Reactor M is a thoughtfully packaged solution for CO2 introduction into systems up to 125 gallons.
It integrates the Reactor 500 with a super-efficient 5 watt pump, which provides dedicated counter-current flow, neatly together on a convenient mounting plate.
The Reactor M is supplied with suction cups to fix the system inside the aquarium, or space permitting, inside a filter sump.

  1. Great unit Review by Kevin

This is a nice unit all together! I just placed in my sump, hooked up the CO2, and plugged it in. Voila, thoroughly mixed CO2.

    15 Jan 2012:
So its been a little over a month using this unit. I ended up moving this unit from my overflow to inside and at the bottom of 120gal tank, which made a huge difference. This is still a nice unit for thoroughly mixing CO2, but it clogged up last week and started releasing huge groups of bubbles. Trying to get that little carbon filter section out feels like it will break the pump housing, but Im going to just go ahead a separate it. Its pretty much useless at the moment anyway. So, in closing, this thing is a pain to maintain... (Updated on 1/15/2012.) (Posted on 1/14/2012)

  2. Nice product Review by Tom

Very nice item. Easy to install and operate. Effectively injects CO2 into aquarium. I installed it so it turns on at the same time that the CO2 tank valve opens (so it doesn't run continuously)--controlled by a ph controller. I have had no problems with it. (Posted on 1/4/2011)

  3. Nice concept, needs work. Review by Keithster

I bought this because of the integrated pump. But the design of the pump is weak. The filter housing does not have a tight fit and is easily dislodged. The filter housing also contains charcoal. Everything Ive read on charcoal says it has to be replaced every two weeks if used. Keep this in mind if the tank needs to be medicated as carbon removes medication. I have an external Eheim filter system so I removed the carbon from this little filter. I would have expected something to simply keep this little powerhead from clogging, not a whole biological filter. I think its overkill, causes more work than should be necessary. Its a decent unit but the pump/filter could have been better engineered in my opinion. (Posted on 10/15/2008)
