Lifegard Replacement filter pad material is bonded to keep its original shape. It has superior filtration with uniform and consistent material and filters all size of particulate matter.
Make a pattern out of cardboard or paper to match the size of your filter box opening.
Place a pattern on the filter pad material and cut 1/4" larger on all sides for a snug fit.
Insert pad into filter Blue side up.
For even better filtration, cut 2 pads and sandwich a bed of Lifegard Activated Carbon between the 2 pads.

Product changed Review by DMD123
So I order the Lifegard Bonded filter pad and was expecting what I always ordered... a BLUE bonded filter pad. Well the order comes in and is WHITE and kind of looks to be a 'fine' type pad as opposed to the little coarser look of the blue bonded. A little research showed me what happened. If you look on the Lifegard website they show this same pad as being white, when you click onto the datasheets regarding the product, the same item number and description say blue. So if you order this and get a white pad instead of blue like pictured here at Aquacave, realize that Lifegard made changes and that it is still the same product. That being said love the fact you can cut to fit these to whatever filter you need because it saves a ton of money. (Posted on 2/26/2016)
