Aquablue Special 48" T5HO Review by cominatyalive
Made my shrooms shrink by day 1.
Aquacave says it is a 12K bulb, when it arrived, the package said 14 or 15K. Mmmmmmm.
Made my tank too bright for my shrooms. I took out & went back to my LED lights. Shrooms are poppin again! This bulb does nothing for growth. 10K is the ideal Kelvin, not 14K or higher. Even 12K would have been better. Sorry I bought it. Nice color, Very bright, but too bright. Dont buy. (Posted on 7/18/2011)
Much better light Review by bavass
I have a Nova Extreme Pro 48" and I thought the Current USA bulbs that came it were good. Wow was I wrong these bulbs really are an upgrade. I got 2 of these, 3 of the Aqua Blue +,a nd 1 UVL Aquasun what a difference in light, corals are looking better and better everyday and the coraline algae is starting to grow faster than ever before! Much more light!!! Review by firstname.lastname@example.org
I bought a set of four of these light bulbs, and I must say, Ill probably never buy another brand. They were used to replace the ones that came with my fixture and I can really tell the difference in the amount of light giving off. And it was just not because my old bulbs were just that...old. Im talking about from the pictures I took when I first turn my fixture on with the bulbs in it to the present set up. Much more light!!! Im sold on ATI and Aquacave. (Posted on 3/18/2011)
Great Product Review by jlv0lpk
I run a TEK 8 x 48 fixture 5" above the tank. I switched from a combination of UL (Aquasun, Actinic, 454s and 75.25) to just ATI (Aquablue and Specials) T5 bulbs. The color is slightly more blue (about 14K); however, the PAR output is more.
With this blub change, I did cause my Northwood Tri-color acro to RTN. It was 14" below the surface of the water. I swapped the UL bulbs out with the ATI at 8 months. (Posted on 3/16/2011)
Awesome bulb! Review by icsd71
This bulb is amazing upgrade to the stock bulbs I had in my Current T5 fixture. The corals really pop with this bulb. The output and par is great for the price. (Posted on 3/3/2011)
Great bulb Review by rainydave
Great bulb. Uses in a combination of 2 Blue+, 1 Aquablue & 1 Purple+. Really brings out the colors in the corals. (Posted on 1/20/2011)
Good bulb Review by Denny
Nice bulb, but kind of washes out the colors of the other bulbs. I was running two of these and two blue+. I swapped one out for a uvl 75.25 and am much happier with my color. (Posted on 7/26/2010)
