They quietly skim up to six times more water than units with tubes.
The advantages of CPR Continuous Siphon Overflows/Prefilters include:
* Adjustable water level allows you to easily change the level in your tank.
* Black top reduces algae growth.
* Plastic screen to prevent fish loss.
* Quiet operation.
* Flow Rate: 300gph

If You Must Overflow Review by KMaeks
Typical CPR heavy-duty construction. The siphon-maintaining pump assures me that the siphon will not break so long as the pump is working. But I wish there was a way to positively connect the hose to my sump; right now my hose black-taped into the bottom of the CPR overflow. (Posted on 3/23/2009)
