This model is used where the lowest possible organic level in a tank is desired. SPS corals and/or a "heavily stocked fish system.
Used for skimming tanks from 100 gallons up to 300 gallons.
Patented "Downdraft" filtration with automatic intake air regulation. Never needs troublesome (constant salt creep blockage) air adjustments as required by other skimmer types. Only one set and forget outlet valve adjustment needed for great skimming.
The large surface area in the "Downdraft" mixer provides excellent skimmer contact time and great gas exchange, guarantees tank water with very high oxygen content. This skimmer can easily pump up to 1 gallon of waste a day out of a 180 gallon Tank.
Constructed with heavy commercial duty in mind. All oversized cell cast acrylic construction and an edge free finish that's easy to work with when cleaning. C&C cut precision keyhole flanges and O-ring seals provide the best long term, reliable sealing available.

Yes
It is a must to follow the instruction about the water level.If u get a little impatient with it and set up the water too high, it will over flow and you will end up with a nice flooded floor at 4:00 am because it will drain your sump.I had to glue some parts because they were leaking.Once it kicks in, it skims like hell.
