Hagen air pumps are the most powerful and the quietest pumps there are. They only make a low hum when your air stones need cleaning or changing or if you have something pushed up against them. This Optima is very powerful and works fantastic with a stone like the 3.75" Disc Air Diffuser By Alita Industries. For smaller air stones the Hagen air pumps with 2 outlets will work 2 long bubble wands easily. The best is you can get parts to rebuild Hagen air pumps tho it seems like as long as you have the parts on hand you never have to rebuild them.

I have been back in the tropical fish hobby for about 3 years now. When I got out, a very long time ago, the best pump on the market was called a Silent Giant. Well the Hagen Optima has surpassed that mark hands down. Great air pump.
