Actually, I bought this heater to replace the heater in a film processor developer tank in our print shop. Since this heater is small, it slipped right into the end of the developer tank. The temp was set to 90 degrees, and it has held it perfectly since installation -- much better than the original tank heater! And it cost only a fraction of what a proper repair would have cost. I am impressed and very pleased with the quality and performance of the heater, and would recommend it to anyone. I can only imagine how well it would work in a fish tank, since that's what it was designed for!

Neat little heater but the cords from controller to tank are way too short. I like to keep all the uglies in the stand under the tank(that's why I bought this) but that isn't going to work out. Cord length is listed, it's my fault. The relay is pretty loud, I can hear the thing turn on and off from across a quiet room. It resets at 80F after power failure too so be careful.
