I am using it as a supplement in my canister and in the base to help collect detritus.

Nice biomedia. I use it to suppliment one of my HOB filters, and added additional biomedia to my Eheim canister. So good so far. I have no problems with ammonia or nitrates, and they seem to be long lasting.

Nice bio media
I really like this bio media. It is highly porous and it seems to have a long lifespan. Other media seems to wear out and you have to toss it and replace it but this stuff just seems to last longer.
