Giesemann Actinic+ Lamp Description:
T-5 Diameter High Output Lamp
- Blue Spectrum Peaks at 450 nm
- Supplementation Lamp encourages blueing in SPS coral, minor fluorescing.
- Great when used with 10k or 6500k metal halide lamps to encourage bluing in SPS. 450nm peak is similar to Radium Blue metal halide lamps. Other preferred ratios include 1:1 with Sun Lamps, or 2:1:1 Sun/Blue/Actinic for best blend of bluing and fluorescence.

If youre looking for some seriously bright blueish tones in your tank, this bulb will deliver! However, since Im running the Pure Actinics and 14k MHs on my tank, the addition of this bulb was just a bit overkill for me in the blue department. I would compare it to running 20k MHs with Actinics. I would have given it 5 stars but it was just a tad bit too much blue for me. Sorry, just my preference.

I use Giesemann bulbs on all of my SPS tanks and have been very impressed with how my corals have been coloring up after I replaced my metal halides with the T5s.
