MatrixCarbon is a truly unique activated carbon. It is formed as a spherical bead for optimum hydrodynamics, and will not pack. It permits maximum water flow and contact with its high density of macroporous binding sites..

Granular activated carbon designed specifically for water purification. Removes dissolved organic compounds that turn the water yellow.
The extremely porous granules are the optimum size for use in high capacity filters, allowing high flow at minimal back pressure. Positively does not leach phosphates.

I hesitated about adding carbon to my saltwater nano but was pleased with the results. I use the filter media bags that I purchased from AquaCave to use whatever amount I need for my filter slot. (Posted on 3/4/2011)
