Yes
This pump is best mounted externally because of the heat it puts off. Be sure to put padding underneath it to quiet it down. It really puts out the water. Mag pumps are awesome pumps. Years of service.

Yes
Using it inline, so little loud at first, but once ball valves were adjusted to allow for ultimate flow, and pump ran for a while, not so noisy. Very powerful. Running for about a month or so. So far, so good.
