The inside magnet projects 1/2 inch beyond the outer magnet.

Strong magnet - I still need to go over any algae a couple of times before complete removal - perhaps if I did it daily I would not have to repeat the operation. Still a very good product.

Very strong magnet. Works great on my 150g tank and removes most algae in one swipe across the glass. Nice that you can change the pads out, they seem to last a reasonable time.

Best Magnet Cleaner

Ive had a Magnavore cleaner for at least 10 years and finally had to replace it as the inside unit was starting to swell from water intrusion but after continual use Ive got no complaints otherwise I wouldn't have bought another one. Ive tried other types but this is the only one that cleans on just one swipe. Other cleaners need to be scrubbed back and forth to work but this one really does the job. The new style allows the unit to clean above the rim of the tank where the glass extends above the trim on the tank which really is a nice feature. I hope to get another 10 years from this one.
