Aiptasia X, 60 ml. by RedSea.
**** PRODUCT MANUAL ****
In an exciting development for reef-keepers Red Sea has developed a unique patent pending formula to treat the pest anemones Aiptasia sp., Anemonia majano and Boloceroides sp.
Affecting almost every reef aquarium, Aiptasia (otherwise known as glass anemones), are often introduced via live rock or corals and can quickly reach plague proportions in marine aquaria, destroying corals and other marine livestock with devastating effect.
Existing treatments are often unsuccessful as when threatened Aiptasia quickly retract into holes in the rock and release planula (larvae) in to the aquarium which can rapidly develop in to full anemones. Additionally any part of the anemones body left attached to a rock can regenerate into a full anemone. Many treatments can therefore lead to a proliferation rather than the removal of Aiptasia.
Research and development work carried out by Red Sea has led to the development of Aiptasia-X, a product which overcomes the problems usually associated with Aiptasia treatments thanks to its unique formula.
Aiptasia-X consists of natural components which form a uniquely thick, adhesive material. Instead of causing the Aiptasia to feel threatened, the unique formula is sensed as food stimulating the anemone to expand and ingest the material. The adhesive form of the treatment makes both the application of the material easy as well as sealing the anemones mouth preventing any release of planula. Within minutes of applying the material the Aiptasia will implode, eradicating both the anemone and its planula.
Red Seas new treatment is completely reef-safe and any material not ingested by the Aiptasia is harmless to sessile invertebrates. Excess material will decay harmlessly over time without any adverse consequences.
Easy to use and highly effective, Aiptasia-X provides a solution long sought-after by almost every reef-keeper at one time or another in the life of their aquarium.
The Aiptasia-X kit includes a 60ml bottle of material plus an applicator set consisting of a syringe with 2 (straight and angled) lock-on applicator tips enabling treatment of even the most inaccessible of anemones. The 60ml provided in the kit should be sufficient to treat approximately 100 Aiptasia anemones.

Great product Review by Tommy
This product works great. It is simple to use - they give you a syringe and a needle to apply the Aiptasia X right on the Aiptasia. Turn off the pumps and then apply it. It goes right to work killing the Aiptasia. (Posted on 10/17/2010)
works! Review by plsnthx
so simple to use. just turn off the powerheads and apply near the nems. the nem will grab onto it like its food. then shrivel up. treated 3 nems and have nearly the entire bottle still. i don't think a water change is necessary, but i did a small one just in case. everything including my corals, urchin, 11 fish, and shrimp do not appear to be affected. the zoas that were next to the nem (dead now) finally can bloom.

red sea aiptasia-x Review by jim
This Aiptasia eliminator is very fast acting and very potent. Targeted anemones don't stand a pray, but be very careful if you have other anemones or urchins in your tanks,it could be harmful to them also. (Posted on 10/24/2009)
Deadly Potion Review by DPorras
Aiptasia-X is something else. This "Deadly Potion" as I call it works like a champ. Not only does it kill Aiptasia very quickly, it it reef safe. Some of it got onto my Pulsing Xenia colony and never phased them. Using a Kalkwasser paste is very caustic and deadly to everything it touches. Great job Red Sea (Posted on 2/7/2009)
killer stuff Review by luther
I have always used Joes Juice and decided to try this.
It is a very effective Aiptasia killer and the creatures don't seems to retract when hit with it. They stay out, take it in, and die.
It also seems to congeal when injected and stays on the spot better. This is especially helpful on vertical surfaces or under ledges.
The applicators provided are much more durable and useful that the competitors.
Also, it does not seem to separate and clog like the other stuff. (Posted on 12/4/2008)
