Utilizing a radio wave signal, the remote sensor(s) will measure the temperature at the waterproof probe tip and send the information to the PINPOINT Temperature Display Monitor, which will display the temperature in Fº or Cº degrees. The Pinpoint Wireless Thermometer can accept a maximum of 4 remote sensors, thus expanding the monitoring capability to 4 different locations to be displayed on the same Pinpoint Temperature Display Monitor.
Given proper care, the Pinpoint Wireless Thermometer should last a lifetime.
Remote sensors can transmit temperature signals as far as 100 feet (30 Meters) in optimum conditions.
The monitor and remote sensor are powered by two AAA batteries each.
Monitor accepts up to four remote temperature sensors.

Let me start by saying,No offense to AquaCave. I didn't try to get my money back and Im sure they would have (best customer service of any online store). I don't even shop around anymore. Just AquaCave!
I just didn't want to re-pack it and go the post office, etc.
I bought this item hoping I could monitor both tanks (15ft apart, different rooms) from one location (supposed to monitor up to 100ft under optimum conditions. I followed the instructions carefully and used very new titanium batteries. It only read the sensor right next to it. The other sensor is useless beyond 5ft. I switched sensors, same thing.
I tried many times to reset both units with no success. When it would finally read, after a minute or so, it would go back to ---. Too finicky for me.
Just a wireless sensor,Yes. Remote location sensor,NO.

This is a pretty neat gadget. Especially if you have multiple sensors where you can check various parts of your tank and/or sump with just a push of a button.
