Bad needle valve. Good solenoid Review by Vincent
I'm using it now since 2 month. Doesn't start automatically because of the bad needle valve.
This problem could be resolved by increasing/decreasing working pressure, but regulator is not adjustable... (20 PSI all the time)
Turning needle valve a hair increase bubble rate very too much.
I would buy something else if I can go in the past. (Posted on 8/5/2013)
kinda hard to adjust! Review by Al
I've been using it for a while for my planted tank but it is very hard to adjust the bubbles.
When the algae grows on the diffuser it holds the bubbles back and after cleaning the diffuser it needs another adjustment because the bubbles goes crazy. Pain!
The other thing is that the pressure doesn't allow high pressure diffusers to work (more than 30psi).
Not a good choice for a planted tank, I guess. (Posted on 2/14/2012)
No other like it Review by Hoang
There's no other out there like it! The regulator does what it needs to and looks good while it does it. This is my 3rd Reef Fanatic Co2 regulator and Ill continue to use this brand for as long as Im in the Reefing hobby. The needle valve is a bit of a pain to adjust because it requires such little movement. Turning the needle valve a hair will increase bubble counts by almost 10 bubbles per minute. So you'll have to have really steady hands and be patient when adjusting. Other then that, I love this regulator. (Posted on 5/23/2011)
Excellent product Review by Gundlach
This regulator is perfect. The key points to remember are to use Teflon tape on all the threads (i.e. the tank, the threads for the bubble counter). Then use a wrench to make the connection snug. Obviously don't put all your weight into it, but get it tight. When this regulator turns off there is an inconsequential amount of residual gas that passes real briefly and then it stops 100%. Not a single bubble when this thing is set for off. (Posted on 4/1/2011)
