ReefLux is the first true 10000K full spectrum metal halide bulb to be offered to the aquarium market.
Other manufacturers claim to offer a 10000K lamp but that is just a marketing number of their best attempt to offer a full spectrum 10000K lamp.
This is why they have a yellow or orange appearance and need to have some kind of fluorescent actinics to balance it out.
Generally the more yellow or orange a bulb the more PAR the bulb will produce.
ReefLux offers you the highest PAR rating without having to flood your aquarium with high powered fluorescent blue bulbs.

GREAT BULB Review by Allan
I bought the cheaper Coralvue 20,000k bulb and it was horrible. Red yellow orange light spectrum. I spent $20 more on this Reeflux by Coralvue 20,000k... VERY HAPPY with this bulb. A perfect combination of blue and white light. My coral color is amazing now! (Posted on 12/4/2013)
Best color output Ive found yet Review by heckeng
I am using some Lumatek e-ballasts and have used Aqualine Buenschke 10k, Reeflux 10k, and now the Reeflux 12k. I have a 2x250 watt HQI and 2 54 watt T5 fixture and was having a hard time getting enough actinic to balance out the yellow of the AB bulb so I bought the Reeflux 10k. It was better but I still wanted a tad more actinic so I ordered the Reeflux 12k and they are fantastic bulbs. They have enough red/yellow that my Zoas and Ricordia look great, but the overall color is white with no yellowing of the rocks or anything.
Overall, all of the bulbs were fantastic performers, and very bright, but I like the color output of the Reeflux 12k the best. (Posted on 8/23/2011)
