The SP 1500 dosing pump is an economic peristaltic pump for pumping small volumes of water.
It is used with all bypass filters like the Nitrate reductor and Calcium reactor, but also to top up evaporated water combined with Kalkwasser reactor.
A further application is the automatic dosing of fertilisers and minerals. In freshwater aquariums, the iron fertiliser can be added daily.
In coral reef aquariums, the addition of calcium and trace elements (products of the Reef Life series) can be automated using the SP 3000.
The pump is supplied with a long life Santoprene hose.

Ive never seen a peristaltic pump for under $100 so I didn't have high expectations on this one, but it turned out to be a very solid well designed German made unit, not Chinese ?! Totally silent when running. At 10 RPM I think it will last a very long time. It has a Santoprene internal hose and compression fittings that perfectly fit the 1/8" I.D. silicone airline hose I'm using to deliver pH adjust chemicals. It also includes two mini check valves that can be installed inline to prevent backward siphoning but are optional. It has no problem drawing fluid up two feet from my chemical container. very pleased. Cheers.
