Good quality product Review by Ronny
The product is great, strong, economical and easy to install. The only concern is the shipping costs overseas (Australia).... cost more than the product itself. I spend a lot of money in my aquarium and i would love to buy more, but is just not worth it. --- besides the freight cost, the delivery service is AAA+, it arrived within a week. Thanks (Posted on 11/15/2015)
Nice reactor system. Just a few small issues Review by Steve
I received my SpectraPure dual reactor unit in good condition. The directions say to put the rigid 1/2" OD tubing and valves on the outlet side of the reactor. If you are to do this, the inlet is only barb fittings. I didn't feel comfortable with that setup, so I switched them. My pump goes to the valves first (all with push to connect fittings)... then the reactors... then back to the sump via the soft wall tubing and barbed fittings. Works fine that way. I line the dual control and the fact that the carbon is top-down flow while the GFO is bottom-up flow. Changing media is a snap. Only thing is that is can be a little difficult to see your GFO media tumbling. I have to use a flashlight to shine through the filter above to GFO top surface. The inserts are semi-opaque and this in combination with the blue tinted clear housings, makes it a little tough. I've been considering buying some ultra clear media holders to see if this makes it better. (Posted on 8/7/2015)
Great product. Review by Rob
Awesome product. I enjoy the slow death the turf and green hair algae are going through. Phosphates got high after I moved my aquarium across the country. Wish I had bought this product sooner. (Posted on 4/21/2015)
Easy Setup, Works Great Review by Rob S.
I am still a novice at Reef Keeping, but I really like the flexibility this offers. For the price it can't be beat! it does carbon and GFO and both are adjustable. One power head runs it. I had it installed in less then an hour and have not had any problems with it so far. It is also easy to add or change either the carbon or GFO. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
