Black Tek Light T5 fluorescent lighting system complete with two built-in Triad T5 electronic ballasts, two power-cords and two switches allowing for dawn and dusk control, individual parabolic reflectors for each bulb made from German Tek 95% reflective aluminum and I-bolts with V-Hooks to suspend the unit over the tank.

I recently purchased the TEK LIGHT T-5, 48" Light Fixture 4 x 54W lamps by Sunlight Supply with 2 Giesemann PowerChrome Midday T5 Lamps and 2 Giesemann PowerChrome Aqua Flora T5 Lamps. After just 3 days my plants were growing like crazy! Previously I was using twice the wattage with a dual metal halide 2x150w and 2 65w power compacts (though I hadn't changed the bulbs in years). The Tek light surprisingly seems as bright, if not brighter, with half the wattage! Maybe the claim that the German reflector triples the light intensity is true.

excellent light!
i had bought an off brand on Ebay to "save money" but what the heck is the point of buying a cheap light if i am going to raise expensive coral? so i bit the bullet and bought this light.
WOW! huge difference, runs really cool, and not as harsh as the halide.
only downside, and there is only a small one, is that there are no lunar lights. and thats it.
I've seen the nova extreme pro, and that thing is almost as expensive, without individualized reflectors, and much bulker. So this light - all the way!
