Read the instructions and pretty easy to set up. Make sure you take the tube between the pump and skimmer (NOT THE AIR LINE) and cut in half so pump is 2-3 inches from water surface. This skimmer is producing foam and removing the nastiest gunk. Great unit and quiet. I am using it as hang on sump setup. EXCELLENT!
