4 out of 5 stars Surprised
by Jason from Chicago, Il on 7/27/2008
Recommends it to Friends: Yes
I was skeptical that a fan could help my temp problems created by metal halide lighting, but I have to say it does help keep temps 2 or 3 degrees below what they would be without the fan. My tank is rimless so it fits nicely (no sump so its on the tank itself). Cheap solution to a chiller, but you will need to top off a lot more often, and its easier if you have it connected to a temp controller.

4 out of 5 stars very quiet fan
by from delaware ohio on 3/27/2009
Recommends it to Friends: Yes
Fits well on a BC-8, sides or rear false wall. This fan is amazingly powerful while being super quiet. The only thing that needs to be said is if you are trying to use the fan vertically, keep in mind this fan is designed to blow down so it will blow backwards.

2 out of 5 stars Not the best
by gfy from Ft. Lauderdale FL on 3/4/2009

The plug gets very hot with just a short amount of use. I will not run this for more then an hour at a time and never if I am not at home. The adjustment level is not that great either.

4 out of 5 stars Decent Clip On Fan Solution
by Chuck from FL on 10/24/2008
Recommends it to Friends: Yes
This actually is a pretty decent clip on fan solution. Have been using it for about 6 months on a nano, with MH and PCs, and while it has not eliminated my need for a chiller it certainly has reduced the load on it. Noise level, air produced, and quality of construction all rate pretty good in my book.

4 out of 5 stars nice fan
by dj M.i.C. from kingman, az on 7/2/2008
Recommends it to Friends: Yes
This is a good looking fan, but i couldn't mount it to my aquarium because the plastic trim around the aquarium is not tall enough and there would be no way to secure the fan. It would work great on a tank that is rimless, or if you can mod your plastic trim. I could of cut the trim, but i did not want to risk damaging the tank.
