Magnesium is one of the most important elements in marine and reef aquariums. It is critical for the formation of a variety of structures, including the skeletons and shells of many corals, clams, algaes and other organisms. Magnesium is critically important for the proper maintenance of water chemistry. Calcium and alkalinity will be negatively affected if Magnesium levels are too low. Magnesium is present in natural seawater at a concentration of more than 1200 ppm. If Magnesium is not added to the reef aquarium, the levels will drop until problems may arise maintaining Calcium and alklinity levels. Therefore, Magnesium must be added frequently and consistently to maintain levels between 1200-1400ppm. Warner Marine Research Concentrated Magnesium Supplement is the premier Magnesium product available today. It is a technologically advanced ionically balanced product containing high quality Analytical Reagent Grade (A.C.S.) and Pharmaceutical Grade (U.S.P.) raw materials. Inferior competing products are produced using poor quality ?food grade? (FCC) or industrial grade Magnesium. Food Grade Magnesium contains up to 30X the heavy metal concentration, including Lead compared to Analytical Reagent Grade Magnesium Chloride. Warner Marine Research is the only manufacturer to use these fine quality raw materials. It is also highly concentrated, making it highly cost effective compared to lower quality competing products. Most importantly Warner Marine Research Concentrated Magnesium is highly effective at adding high quality bio-available Magnesium without the unneccesary impurities found in the competitors products.
Recent studies have shown that these impurities contained in low quality additives may lead to an acute failure of the biological system or commonly referred to as ?old tank syndrome?. Water changes are the only method to reverse the deleterious effect of these toxic impurities and even this may not counter the long term effects of these impurities. We believe that the hobbyist should never be forced to perform water changes specifically to remove impurities added intentionally by the use of low quality additives. The choice is yours!
