65mm 2.6" Diamond Coated Glass Drill Bit / Hole Saw for 1.5" sch. 80 Bulkheads

After doing research (pricing commercial glass businesses on the cost of drilling five holes into two glass aquariums) I decide to give it a try. My concerns started to be on the quality of the bits and how long they would last and how many holes I can make with these bits. I brought a 45mm for a 1" bulkhead and 65mm for a 1.5" bulkhead. My first cut was into a ¼ inch glass using the 45mm drill bit, which took less than 5 mins. The 65mm was next bit I used it to cut 2 holes into 5/16 thick glass. And again it worked like a champ. I cut two more holes into my 5/16 glass using the 45mm bit and again it worked like a champ. As a matter of fact the more holes we cut the better and cleaner was the cut. The bits look brand new and will be ready for my next tank.

I purchased this to drill holes in the bottom of large vintage glass jugs to make pendant lights. I realize that this probably isn't what most people are purchasing this item for on this site, but for my purposes, this hole saw worked great, and the bottom line is that it cuts through glass well. the hole saw made it through 3 jug bottoms but did start to slow down slightly near the end. Given the previous review, i anticipated this, though. I did crack one jug, but I think this was because I had the drill on too high of a speed. overall, highly recommended, as this is the cheapest that I've been able to find a hole saw with this diameter and it got the job done well.

Pros - easy to use, does as advertised.<br>Cons - Used this to drill two holes in 3/8&quot; glass. The first hole took about 10 minutes, the second took over an hour. This bit is good for 1 hole, terrible for 2, and I would not even attempt a 3rd.
