    Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl

    Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl

    Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuikCycl

Professional nutrients for fishless cycling and establishing strong nitrifying bacteria beds in freshwater and marine aquariums.

Not your average ammonia source for starting the nitrogen cycle. Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter QuickCycl contains the right strength of ammonium chloride along with balanced phosphates and nitrates to feed the bacteria that work to cycle a tank. This product is ideal for use with Microbacter Start XLM, and will provide the food source required for the bacteria to properly cycle the aquarium.

Fishless cycling is a far superior method of cycling an aquarium, as it does not risk any livestock and provides a consistent and controlled source of nutrients for the bacteria. A successful cycle also depends on regular testing of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate to determine progress. We recommend having all of these tests on hand prior to starting your cycle.

    Brightwell Aquatics FaStart-M Nutrient Balance

    Brightwell Aquatics FaStart-M Nutrient Balance

    Brightwell Aquatics FaStart-M Nutrient Balance

Shake product well before each use. Though FaStart-M may be used in any established marine aquarium, it is intended for use in systems dosed with MicrōBacter7. Greatest stability of biological filtration capacity will be achieved when using these two solutions in conjunction, as directed below. Grossly overdosing FaStart-M will not significantly increase the effectiveness of the product, nor the rate at which it enacts changes in aquaria; in fact, it may have a deleterious effect on water quality if not used as directed. Marine aquaria employing effective protein skimming will achieve maximum rate of nutrient export via extraction of bacterioplankton biomass, as opposed to systems that are not skimmed. Do not attempt to maintain an aquarium containing zooxanthellate organisms completely free of detectable nitrate and phosphate; doing so is highly likely to result in loss of life of those organisms. Water temperature, salinity, pH, and alkalinity must be within appropriate ranges prior to adding live microorganisms to aquarium.

Establishing biological filtration in new aquaria: Add 5 ml (1 capful on 250- and 500-ml bottles; 1/2-capful on 2L bottle) FaStart-M per 20 US-gallons (76 L) of aquarium water; allow to circulate in system for at least one hour. Using accurate test kits, determine concentrations of ammonia, nitrate, and phosphate; record results. Begin adding MicrōBacter7 as directed on that product’s label, dosing daily. Re-test nutrient concentrations daily for the first two weeks of use. When ammonia concentration is below detection level of test kit and nitrate concentration is below 3 ppm, then aquarium is cycled.

Dose with FaStart-M as necessary to maintain nitrate and phosphate within a range of 3 - 5 ppm and 0.01 - 0.03 ppm, respectively. Daily dosing will encourage the most stable concentration of available nutrients in any aquarium system. Begin with 5 ml per 100 US-gallons (378.5 L) of aquarium water, and adjust dosage as nutrient concentrations dictate. When decreasing the aquarium bioload, increase normal dosage by 10%, and resume normal dosage once nutrient concentrations stabilize within desired ranges. Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.

    Brightwell Aquatics Michrobacter START XLM

    Brightwell Aquatics Michrobacter START XLM

    Brightwell Aquatics Michrobacter START XLM

Professional 15x strength live tank starter nitrifying bioculture for rapidly cycling new marine fish and reef aquaria and brackish aquariums, and for recovering from overcrowding or disasters where the bacteria bed has been damaged or when adding new fish.

    • Useful for rapidly re-establishing nitrification bacteria in case of an emergency
    • Particularly useful in aquaria with high population densities and when adding new fish
    • Helpful to re-establish nitrifying bacteria after cleaning rocks and surfaces and after use of medications.
    • Rapid reduction of ammonia, and nitrite.
    • Prevents “New Tank Syndrome.”
    • Supplied in a proprietary base which provides for maximum longevity
    • Formulated utilizing extensive data compiled by microbiologists.

MicrōBacter Start XLM 15X creates a nitrifying biological filter in marine & brackish aquaria of all types and is particularly useful for new startups, resulting in cycling in about 5 to 7 days in most cases.  It quickly removes toxic ammonia and nitrite naturally through non-pathogenic nitrifying bacterial action.  Even though this product is extremely potent, it may be overdosed at up to 5 times the rated dosage during aquarium upsets.  It should be your first choice to remove ammonia during emergencies where the filter has been inadvertently killed or under overcrowding.

1 brick treats up to 1,000 gallons aquarium capacity

    Overview

    • Made of aragonite-based Xport-Ca material; rapidly grows coralline algae.

    • Does not alter aquarium pH, KH, or phosphate levels.

    • Easily accommodates multiple frags.

    • ~97,000 ft2 surface area per plate for colonization by nitrifying and denitrifying microbes. Average surface area of 500,000 ft2 per cubic foot (~1,900 m2 per L, ~150 ft2 per gram) encourages colonization by beneficial nitrifying bacteria, resulting in rapid and efficient conversion of ammonia into nitrite and nitrate and further enhancing the stability of nutrient concentrations in grow out systems. Will house denitrifiers if placed in low-flow areas. Holds moisture for prolonged periods of time, maintaining biofiltration viability even during power outages when plates are placed above the maximum water height in the filtration system.

    • Combines the benefits of vast surface area and intelligent design with a high-purity aragonite component to maximize the aquarist’s use of available space in coral culture systems while maximizing the growth rate potential of coralline algae, yielding shorter grow out to market than when using conventional plugs.

    • The use of Brightwell Aquatics R.E.E.F.-Fuze fluorescent cyanoacrylate enables aquarists to monitor growth rates at a glance, as the fluorescent coloration of the bonded area is over grown with new coral tissue.

    • Plate shape is conducive to placement in flow-through filtration systems and dramatically improves filtration potential relative to archaric plastic, sintered glass, or even live rock rubble filtration media.

    • Researched, designed, and made in the USA of US-sourced, high-quality ingredients.

Microbacter QuickCycl & Microbacter Start XLM

Fishless cycling is a far superior method of cycling an aquarium, as it does not risk any livestock and provides a consistent and controlled source of nutrients for the bacteria to multiply and colonize new rock. Microbacter Start is a highly concentrated bioculture for rapidly cycling new aquariums. QuickCycl contains the ideal concentration of ammonium chloride along with phosphates and nitrates to feed the bacteria involved in establishing the nitrogen cycle in your tank.

A successful cycle also depends on regular testing of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate to determine progress. We recommend having all of these tests on hand prior to starting your cycle.

     Microbacter Clean

After the initial cycle, regular use of the included Microbacter Clean will assist in maintaining water quality and may help to reduce the "ugly stage" during the first several months as the tank matures.
