LOUD!! LOUD!! LOUD!!!
Loudest chiller I have ever used. This sounds like a jet airplane in comparison to my last chiller (JBJ). I wish I never bought this unit. My tank is in my living room. When this chiller comes on, it totally ruins the ambience. Sorry but other people need to know what you are buying before you by. Don't by this if you want a quiet running chiller. This is definitely the opposite of quiet.

Ecoplus 1/4 hp chiller
This is my first chiller so I have nothing to compare but it seems to be working well. It likes to be set 1 or 2 degrees LOWER than what you want the set point at but no big deal. This unit is also pretty quiet.....makes a little noise when running but less than I expected. My only complaint would be the heat it generates when running.....it's in a pretty small room so it heats up quickly. I'm sure they all do this but wanted to mention as I didn't even think about the heat portion at purchase.<br><br>I feel this is a great buy and the brand to choose for water chilling needs.
