JBJ Arctica 1/4 HP Titanium Aquarium Chiller DBE-200

Arctica Titanium Aquarium Chillers are state-of-the-art aquarium coolers incorporating the most advanced technological features compared to any other chiller on the market.
Many years of research and development have allowed us to offer the perfect solution to stabilize water temperatures for your aquarium environment.
These units have been designed for maximum temperature pull-down (BTUs) with the least amount of energy draw.

Advance Features:

* Titanium Heat Exchanger: Unique titanium coil design allows for maximum contact exposure. The absolute best element for heat exchange on the market.
* Condenser Layout: Condenser is located on the front side of the chiller. This design draws cool air from the front and exhausts the warm air out of the back. This new standard will also direct access to clean the condenser grill without any tools to take the chiller apart.
* Energy Efficiency: Provide the best BTU (British Thermal Units) heat removal capacity with the lowest amperage draw. More electricity savings.
* Full Auto Digital Temperature Control System: This built-in thermostat will automatically control your desired set temperature within +1/-1 Fahrenheit. Includes a bright light LCD that can actually be read day or night.
* Lowest Noise and Vibration Level: You will be amazed at how quiet these units are for chillers. Definitely a big plus for hobbyists who has aquariums located in living rooms.
* Small Footprint: Most of the models are no bigger than a standard desktop computer. This compact size allows placement without a large designated area.
* Side Handles: ABS Molded handles allow for easy lifting and moving.
* Refrigerant: Uses Ozone Friendly Refrigerant (R-134A)
* 2-Year Warranty: The best warranty in the industry.

    must have

I still use metal halides so this unit was a must buy, very, very, very, quiet, in fact the only way I know it's on is the green indicator light, compared to the oceanic chiller, which sounds like a lawn mower while running, this JBJ is reliable, efficient and did I mention QUIET? Awesome product, price is worth every penny if you are protecting thousands of $ of reef inhabitants.

    Best Chiller by Far!

The chiller is very well made and the material used are superior to others, its a low noise power house ! Love it! its just a few more inches wider than other models but you will be able to move up to 2400 GPH thru it ! in most cases you will be able to have it in the main return line to the tank with no restrictions.

    Great Chiller

Posted by John on Dec 10th 2017

My 1/4 HP Artica is going on 8 years with flawless operation. Works great and has no problem keeping my 92 gallon corner tank and 25 gallon sump just right. I'm considering plumbing mine through the wall and building a small ventilated shed outside so the heat does not warm up my house on a hot day. All-in-all a great product!

    Outstanding product and value point

Posted by Doug on Jun 8th 2017

We've had an Arctica 1/4hp chiller (DBA-200) for over 16 years. It has worked flawlessly on our 90g (Total Water Volume) and most recently on our ~225g (TWV) system. The on-board controller is set ~1° below the control point on our Apex and it just does what it needs to do. I would definitely buy another one!

1/4hp Arctica is perfect for my needs.

Heres an item that is rated correctly by the manufacturer. I have had this set up on my 260 net gallon system for about a year. It keeps my temp at +- 2 degrees through the worst summer heat.

Delivers what it promises.

    Best Chiller on the Market

Posted by Robert D. on Aug 21st 2008

Have not set this up yet as I'm waiting on more parts for my 120 Reef. My brother has the same chiller on a 75 gallon on a patio outside and it keeps perfect temps. Buy it, you will not regret it.
