Radium 250W, 20,000K Metal Halide Bulb, Mogul Base
The German-made Radium 20000K metal halide bulb offers excellent coloration and good intensity. It is crisp-white with a strong blue tint.
It brings out the fluorescent pigments in corals nicely. Fluorescent supplementation is usually not necessary, but can be used for added intensity and to simulate dawn and dusk.

Best of the Best Review by sal
Product Rating: I still use Halide lighting on my reef, the color, shimmer and coral growth from the radium 20k bulbs are simply still the best you can achieve, I love them and won't switch to leds until the stop producing this bulb. (Posted on 8/30/2018)

Best bulb on the market Review by Ash
Have three of these running over my 125 mixed reef. GREAT bulb. Brings out all the crisp whites and the really nice blues. No need for actinic sup. I have a very compact, closed canopy, and am using these with three Lumenmax elites, so I have no room in the canopy for anything else. Will never use another bulb...I AM considering upgrading two of my 250 galaxy ballasts to two 400watts, but we will see about that soon enough. (Posted on 12/8/2009)
