The Reef Mat is a plug & play, fully automated, smart fleece roller filter that keeps your aquarium water crystal clear for weeks at a time.
Designed with the hobbyist in mind, the ReefMat features an easy fleece-mat replacement system that allows you to switch rolls without having to remove the filter from the sump or turn off the pumps.
ReefMat includes a fail-proof solid-state level sensor and an unprecedented smart drive unit that controls and monitors the exact length of fleece-mat that is used. ReefMat is Wi-Fi connected to Red Sea’s ReefBeat smart aquarium eco-system and will notify you if the fleece-mat gets torn or runs out, gives you a head’s up before it needs replacing, and even provide you with a daily usage log.

Less work
It’s been running for two weeks flawlessly. It’s expensive, but well-made and makes my tank maintenance that much easier not having to worry about cleaning socks, etc. if you can afford it, this is a must have for your Aquarium.

Plug n play
After you make the necessary changes to the sump it was simple to install and is working very well and no filter socks to clean! The rolls seem to last a long time.

The best upgrade I’ve done to my aquarium
So far works flawlessly, I was very impressed with the build quality… the app is quite nice too! I will say it needs a cover…. Under my stand smells horrid now because all that gunk is just chillin' down there.

Awesome product, if I could give 6 stars I would
I bought the Reefmat to replace a Clarisea SK3000 and I am glad I did. First off this thing solid, the construction is definitely many steps above the SK. Next the ease of putting it together out of the box is literally a few pieces and you are up and running including installing the felt roll. Now I will touch on the features but there are so many of them I will touch on my favorites, the solid state level sensor is spot on, the app is great and provides tons of status information and the media basket is a plus as well. All in all if you are looking to add a felt roller or looking to replace your current one you cannot go wrong with the Reefmat.

REEFMAT 500 THE BEAST
I installed the Reefmat on my Waterbox Frag 145.5. Easy to assemble. Removing the baffles on the sump was really easy with the Red Sea Modification Kit. Get this kit or you will regret it. Two pieces of advice that I will give you are: The sensor goes in the opposite side of the inlet hose that enters the unit and #2 the roller fleece must be installed properly other wise will move in the wrong direction. The app is super easy to set up if you follow the instructions step by step. This Reefmat is a beast cleaning. My skimmer basically is doing nothing. I highly recommend this Reefmat.

Just Great!
The unit arrived pretty quickly and packed better than some live purchases. It is hooked straight to my drain hose and has been running for about two weeks. It works so well straining my water that it has steadily slowed roll usage to less than 10 inches a day, and caused me to have to re-tune my protein skimmer. Even the app works well with no drops or complaints. The only things that annoy me are the sheer size of the Reefmat compared to others and the inlet. I'm not a fan of using the stiff flex hose they provide when an L-attachment would have saved some space.

No filter socks!
This thing has been awesome so far. Going on 7 days without having to replace filter socks and it’s sweet. Shipping was Really fast and item came packaged great.

Solid Unit but the supplied USA/Metric PVC connector does not fit the RSM 500 down pipe
Just installed Red Sea ReefMat 500 and my first impressions are 4 Stars not 5 Stars. Why? I have the Red Sea Max 500 and this unit (specifically the fitting supplied) does not fit the down pipe. I had to a 40mm (down pipe) to 1.25 inch adapter to attached the down pipe to the corrugated inlet hose. Red Sea supplied a USA/Metric PVC connector that does not fit the RSM 500 down pipe. Other than that, the unit is solid (although this is my first roller) and works well! So well, I've decided not to run a skimmer on my FOWLR tank. We'll see how it goes.
