Big Savings with an easy fix

I use the Blueline HD20 to add water to my 55 gl tank. Much better than hauling 5 gl jugs around.
On one top-off occasion, I yanked on my 35 ft hose just a little too hard. This along with the weight of the
hose proved too much for the existing volute. The force ripped the volute in half, right at the MHT threading.
The replacement volute was simple to replace, six screws and a little elbow grease. The job was done in 5 minutes.
There was minor leakage at first. While leaving the pump running, I manually tightened her down until the leakage ceased.
I have since fashioned a hose stress relief at the union where the hose is attached at its holder. I still yank the thing occasionally, but no longer at a price that is a 4th of the cost to replace it.
